Things are very different the moment you leave your native country – this is also true for after sales. And sometimes, it is not so easy to overcome these natural cultural differences. For example, our customer, a German premium car manufacturer, encountered problems because its Chinese subsidiary’s employees couldn’t operate the group’s internal IT systems. This mainly impeded the spare part availability in their after sales business. One challenge was, for example, defining the right parts, which affected the entire supply chain right up to availability in individual workshops. Therefore, our customer wanted to offer suitable trainings for their employees. Due to the group’s recommendation from Germany, they enlisted our After Sales experts for this task.
Comprehensive and practicable in Beijing and Böblingen
It was crucial that we know the three involved IT platforms very well and therefore could design a comprehensive and practicable training concept in a short amount of time. Eventually, the user trainings took place both in Beijing and at our headquarters in Böblingen for six months. These trainings led to an independent spare parts supply for the Chinese market and to optimizing number of successfully operated after sales inquiries.
Trainings for research & development in India
Also in India, we were able to perform after sales IT trainings recently. For half a year, our experts supported the research and development department of a large car manufacturer there. The goal was to train the Indian employees so that they would be able to independently create the spare parts for the company’s individual model ranges.
