Böblingen/Sindelfingen, 31 July 2017 – Developing innovations is an important strategic pillar for the STAR COOPERATION. To further strengthen that, the Böblingen-based company has acquired the innovation hub atec innocation GmbH based in Sindelfingen with retroactive effect from 1 July 2017.

„For years, we have been working with the colleagues at atec as partners in customer projects. In that respect, boosting our collaboration under the roof of STAR COOPERATION was the next logical step for us,” Prof. Dr. Alfred Neher, founder and Managing Partner of STAR, emphasized. In future, atec will accelerate the Group’s innovative measures especially in product development and sales.

„All sides will benefit from the fact that atec is now a part of the STAR COOPERATION – both the companies involved as well as our customers, business partners and employees,” atec innovation’s Managing Director Tim Stegmann ensured. „We will continue to work on highly innovative projects, but we will enjoy very different development opportunities in the future with the STAR Group having our back.”

atec was founded in 2004 and aims to be an established player in developing innovative products and safeguarding their successful sales. With a broad professional portfolio, the team of 35 is able to quickly adapt to complicated circumstances and to generate fitting solutions with their customers irrespective of the industry.

The change in ownership will not be perceptible externally: the name and external appearance of atec innovation will remain unaltered; the contractual agreements with employees, customers and partners are to be continued seamlessly. The two Managing Directors André Flemming and Tim Stegmann will also stay with the company and will continue to lead atec’s team with their know-how.
