Numerous personalities from business, science and politics had gathered in the Motorworld’s Legendenhalle this past Monday to officially kick off the Böblingen Business Weeks. First up was Mayor Wolfgang Lützner with his opening remarks, before the podium panel talked about how the region’s business ventures can help in successfully integrating refugees.

Afterwards, it was time for the Böblingen location to prove its attractiveness, innovativeness and creative genius. The two sausage revolutionaries of Grillido, based in Deckenpfronn and known all over the country through their appearance in the TV show “Höhle der Löwen”, came first in the innovation competition and received the innovation award Then, the PE Award was handed out to the most interesting HR development approaches within the region and STAR was able to score here: Branka Podgorelec and Anja Rabenda, responsible for staff development at STAR, proudly accepted the certificate for ranking third for our agile career cycle, from the STARter Day to training to consequently fostering various careers.

START-UP DAY shines a light on young entrepreneurs

As a foretaste of the START-UP DAY, taking place next Thursday also as part of the Böblingen Business Weeks, the opening’s guests could personally get to know the most exciting and innovative start-ups of the Böblingen Region in the “Start-up Lounge by STAR COOPERATION”. At the START-UP DAY on Thursday, 27 October 2016, they will compete for the inaugural Start-up Award.
