Only half a year after releasing version 3.0, the Android software FlexConfig Analyzer undergoes another update. The STAR COOPERATION’s Experts in Automotive Electronics thereby offer even more features to quickly visualizE CAN, LIN and FlexRay Data to engineers and technicians.
The wish to be able to visualize bus data straightforwardly on a smartphone or tablet is becoming louder and louder. This demand is answered by the Android software FlexConfig Analyzer, developed by STAR, with which CAN, LIN as well as FlexRay data can be easily depicted on mobile devices. The system is ready for use in a short amount of time and can easily be utilized also by inexperienced users. It establishes a wireless connection with a fitting bus interface via Bluetooth or WLAN. By doing so, new display sets can be established, saved and perfectly visualized on the high-definition touch screens of mobile devices in a short period of time.
For the 3.1 update now available, numerous new features and functions have been integrated. For example, signals of the CAN-FD bus system can also be processed and visualized, supporting both the ISO and the non-ISO mode of CAN-FD. Users who already generate gateways and remaining bus simulations with STAR’s FlexConfig RBS software and execute them on a FlexDevice-L, offered also by the STAR COOPERATION, will profit from the new parallel function: FlexConfig Analyzer 3.1 now allows them to visualize the signals of a gateway or remaining bus simulation while in actual operation and to check their correct functionality. Furthermore, the STAR developers have introduced a new update mechanism for FIBEX and AUTOSAR description files with which existing display sets can be reused after an update and which do not have to be designed from scratch.
With the update 3.1, the Android software FlexConfig Analyzer now also supports CAN-FD.
